Diesel Mechanic Job Details Pay $14.00–$40.00/hour (Based on Experience) Job Type Full-time Shift and Schedule Day Shift / Monday–Friday / Every Other Saturday Location Victoria, TX Full Job Description We are hiring Diesel Mechanics for a Freightliner company in Victoria, TX. Diesel experience is NOT required — candidates with automotive, mechanical, or related hands‑on experience are encouraged to apply. This is a shop‑based position working on commercial trucks. We are looking for mechanically inclined individuals ranging from entry‑level candidates looking to grow their skills to experienced diesel technicians. Essential Functions Perform general maintenance and repairs on commercial trucks Complete oil changes and preventative maintenance Perform brake and suspension work Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Remove and replace mechanical components as needed Use hand, power, and automotive tools safely Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all shop and safety procedures Skills & Competencies Automotive, mechanical, or diesel experience Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills Experience using hand and power tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn diesel and commercial truck repair Strong attention to safety and quality Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Previous automotive or mechanical experience Basic mechanical knowledge Ability to perform physical shop work Preferred: Diesel or heavy‑duty truck experience Brake and suspension experience Own basic mechanic tools Previous shop experience Diesel experience is not required.
