Greenskeeper PositionCurrahee Club is seeking a Greenskeeper! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.General Purpose: Performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. Performs semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work and related tasks as required.Essential Duties:Perform general landscape maintenance using hand-held equipmentRake and maintain sand bunkersOperate small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowingPrepare soil beds for sod, seed, and vegetative materialPerform tasks related to course detailing including weed and debris cleanupAssist with golf course setup proceduresOperate utility vehicles for hauling materials and removing debrisPerform skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.)Operate equipment safely and remain aware of associates and their respective work areasIncorporate safe work practices into job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as requiredEducation/Experience: Less than a high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:Regularly stands, walks, sits, and uses hands; reaches with hands and armsOccasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouchesRegularly talks or hearsMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds; up to 50 pounds with assistanceEnvironment/Noise:Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and near moving mechanical partsOccasionally works in high, precarious places and in areas with fumes or airborne particlesFrequently works in outdoor weather conditionsOccasionally works in extreme heat (non-weather) and experiences vibrationNoise level is loudCertificates/Licenses: Valid driver's license.Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences: Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for equipment may be in English).This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an associate in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
