This is an exciting opportunity to support your community while gaining valuable experience alongside full-time police officers.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting full-time officers with patrols and responding to emergencies.
- Enforcing local and state laws by issuing citations and warnings.
- Participating in community events and traffic control.
- Conducting foot and bike patrols, assisting with prisoner transport, and aiding in criminal investigations.
- Operating and maintaining police equipment, including firearms and radios.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
- No felony convictions.
- Ability to complete academy training, field training, and participate in ongoing police duties.

Application Process:
To apply, submit your application through the City's Hiring System at Applicants must pass a DPSST exam, interview, background check, psychological exam, and physical fitness test.

Residency Requirement: Applicants must reside within 30 minutes of the police station within six months of their start date.
