Description:
The department currently has 3 ultrasound rooms and is considering adding a temporary 4th room.
There may be a need to float and cover outreach locations utilizing a mobile unit.
This mobile unit will operate two days a week, with the sonographer working 10-hour days as the sole technician.
Common types of imaging and studies performed include OB extended ultrasounds, OB follow-ups, umbilical artery dopplers, and biophysical profiles.
Additional procedures may involve fetal echo, transvaginal ultrasounds, and evaluations for multiple gestations.
The average number of studies conducted per day ranges from 8 to 10.
The department uses electronic health records and a picture archiving system, specifically Syngo Dynamics and Cerner.
Department-specific equipment includes Philips Epiq and GE Voluson 18.
There are radiologists available in-house.
Starting IVs is not a requirement for this position.
The dress code is business casual or scrubs, which are not provided.
There are no weekend or holiday requirements for this position.
No on-call or standby duty is expected.
All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
