General Kitchen Worker

The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is seeking applicants for aPT General Kitchen Worker. The positionis4.5 hours/day, 5 days/week, 10 months/year,Monday through Friday. Starting rate:$19.47/Regular - $19.67 after probation. Qualifications Demonstrates ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Demonstrates ability to follow-through to complete assigned tasks. Demonstrates ability to routinely follow recipes consistently. Is able to use kitchen equipment such as: slicer, knives, scales, mixers, ovens, warmers, steamer. Knows weights and measures. Knows food safety procedures. Knows what makes a reimbursable school breakfast and lunch Is able to interact with others in a positive manner. Demonstrates ability to use technology such as TCP and Point of Sale. Performance Responsibilities Prepares cold and hot food according to specified recipes or per the directions of Cafeteria Manager. Sets up and breaks down serving lines and areas. Serves proper portions of food to be in compliance with federal guidelines and directions ofCafeteria Manager. Collects payment for all food served using Point-of-Sale software as assigned. Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and appliances as assigned. Reconciles daily cash receipts as assigned. Ensures that food is maintained at proper temperature, disposing of food that has expired orreached an unsafe temperature. Properly stores leftover food per guidelines for food storage and district procedures. Interacts and communicates with the students in a pleasant and courteous manner. Arrives to work on time and ready for assignments. Maintain 6 CEUs annually consistent with state requirements by attending in-service meetings and trainings.
