Senior Underwriter

Evaluating and managing risk for large, complex merchant accounts, the full-time Senior Underwriter will conduct in-depth financial analyses, make independent credit decisions, and provide expert guidance on underwriting policies in a remote setting. Key responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end underwriting and credit process for large merchant accounts, exercising independent judgment in risk-based decisions Analyze business models and financial data to assess overall merchant risk and determine appropriate underwriting strategies Provide guidance on complex credit and risk matters while supporting the development of junior underwriters and sales partners Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in underwriting, credit, risk, or financial services Experience interpreting underwriting policies and applying risk-management standards to complex situations Proven ability to analyze complex financial and transactional information and make sound independent judgments Demonstrated experience in negotiating risk-mitigation solutions and assessing significant financial and operational risks Strong knowledge of the payments, merchant acquiring, or financial services industry Virtual Vocations Inc
