BILLING SPECIALIST

Experience in billing, HR, medical records, payroll, scheduling, or a medical office setting is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and ready to become a valued part of our team.Position OverviewThe BILLING SPECIALIST will provide administrative support to several areas of our agency, mainly Billing, but including Human Resources, Medical Records, Payroll, and Scheduling.The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working on a computer, able to manage multiple tasks, and willing to learn. Because we work with pediatric patients, families, nurses, therapists, physicians, and insurance providers, professionalism and attention to detail are very important.Responsibilities May Include:Assist with maintaining and organizing patient medical recordsScan, upload, file, and retrieve documentsAssist with employee and personnel recordsSupport HR with onboarding paperwork and documentationAssist with payroll and timesheet reviewAssist with employee and patient schedulingHelp verify that documentation is complete and properly filedAssist the billing department with data entry and administrative tasksAnswer and route incoming phone callsCommunicate professionally with staff, patients' families, and healthcare providersEnter and update information in agency software systemsTrack missing paperwork and follow up with appropriate staffMaintain confidentiality of patient and employee informationProvide general administrative and clerical support as neededExperience PreferredExperience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:Medical BillingMedical RecordsHuman ResourcesPayrollSchedulingHome HealthMedical Office AdministrationKantime, Paycom, Quickbooks software knowledgeInsurance VerificationData EntryAdministrative/Clerical WorkHealthcare experience is preferred but NOT required.
