Patient Access Representative

Location:- Carrollton, TX 75010 (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to support front-office operations in a healthcare setting. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience while managing scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative workflows.

This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates professionalism, and excels at building strong patient relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Answer and manage inbound and outbound patient calls in a timely and professional manner
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Collect copays and patient payments at the time of service
• Enter and update patient insurance information accurately in the system
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient visits
• Perform clerical duties , including chart preparation and documentation in electronic health records
• Fax and manage patient-related documentation as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts
• Provide excellent customer service while addressing patient concerns and resolving issues professionally
• Support overall clinic operations and ensure a smooth patient flow

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
• Experience with front office operations and patient-facing roles
• Familiarity with insurance processes (verification, eligibility, billing basics)
• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong typing and computer skills
