URGENT Need | Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitative care across our continuum of services. You will implement individualized treatment plans designed to help patients regain or improve functional independence in daily activities, including self-care, mobility, work, and leisure tasks. Responsibilities include carrying out therapeutic interventions, instructing patients and families in home exercise and adaptive techniques, monitoring progress, and accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record. You will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated treatment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, clear communication, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. You will educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, contribute observations and recommendations to care plan updates, and help maintain a safe, respectful treatment environment.
