Travel RN PCUWe are seeking an experienced Travel RN for a position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week assignment. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.Unit InformationThe Progressive Care Unit contains:Number of Beds: 36Staff Composition: 56 RNs and 21 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)Patient Ratios: 4:1 or 5:1Equipment: Various medical equipmentEMR System: MeditechKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including titrating cardiac medications.Perform procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis as needed.Work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.Strong critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills.Preferred: Experience with titrating cardiac medications.Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.Personality FitThe ideal candidate will be team-oriented and possess excellent communication skills.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a busy Progressive Care Unit that may require floating to ICU or Med-Surg as needed.
