Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager – Portland, OR At Cumming Group, you will work on dynamic, tenant improvement projects as part of our Program & Project Management team. The role is client‑facing and requires leading a project team on medium to large‑scale projects, managing scope, cost, and schedule, and ensuring delivery of high‑value outcomes. Responsibilities Lead one or more project teams (individual project or entire program). Define and manage the technical scope of each project. Promote repeat business and secure favorable client references through effective coordination, administration, and communication of project tasks. Review cost estimates and maintain monthly project budgets for current and forecasted expenditures. Resolve project‑level conflicts and maintain open communication channels with the client. Provide regular client reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and keep the client informed of project progress. Coordinate other duties as assigned and attend work during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required Manage and monitor team members to align with organizational goals. Delegate tasks with clear instructions and ongoing feedback. Track metrics, course‑correct, and hold self and others accountable. Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats. Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and senior leaders. Create development opportunities for direct reports. Exercise creativity and resourcefulness to deliver projects in compressed timeframes. Diagnose problems by distinguishing cause and effect. Education and Experience BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management. Preferred Certifications CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED. Preferred Experience Projects in Higher Education, Hospitality, or Entertainment sectors. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $121,200.00 – $169,666.69 per year.
