PRN Physical Therapist – Rehabilitation Department The Physical Therapist provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transition of care. The role involves working with licensed independent practitioners and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized, family‑centered plans of care in a culturally sensitive manner. The opportunity extends through the entire patient journey—from admission to discharge—allowing therapists to help children reach their personal goals in multiple settings. Hours – Weekend Hours Primarily Provides comprehensive and compliant clinical care that aligns with family‑centered care principles and the standards of practice for the professional organization. Collaborates with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care for pediatric patients and their families. Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through mentoring and teaching students and other professionals. Supports the department’s development and improvement through participation in special projects, performance improvement initiatives, and facility committees. Maintains professional growth through ongoing education and research aligned with hospital patient care and strategic direction. Keeps current knowledge of scope of practice, coding and billing practices, compliant documentation, and related revenue‑cycle knowledge. Delivers exceptional care following the Shriners Hospitals for Children Focused Program, a system‑wide model that emphasizes patient‑centered care and putting the needs of patients and families first.
