Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – NICU RN - Travel Nurse We’re looking for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Syracuse, NY. The right RN should have 1–2 years’ recent acute care experience. This role involves providing critical care to sick and premature infants, supporting parents, and working with the care team round‑the‑clock. Responsibilities Care for infants transitioning to extra‑uterine life. Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary. Provide nutritional assessment and specialised feedings. Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs. Provide arterial and intravenous therapy. Monitor and adjust specialised equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators. Requirements BLS, NRP, PALS, 2Years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift 10–20 pounds of equipment. Exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases may occur.
