Quality Inspector - UL Certified - $51K-$70K
New Haven, CT | Onsite
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with strong weld inspection and UL control panel inspection experience to support fabrication, welding, assembly, and electrical manufacturing operations.
This onsite opportunity offers $51,000-$70,000 and is ideal for candidates with strong quality inspection experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual weld inspections using engineering drawings and weld symbols
- Inspect fabricated components, assemblies, and electrical control panels
- Verify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Identify weld discontinuities and quality concerns
- Support UL 508A control panel inspections
- Complete incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Document inspection findings and support NCR and MRB activities
- Verify calibration status of measuring equipment
- Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Manufacturing quality inspection experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications
- Visual weld inspection experience
- Experience using precision measurement equipment
- UL Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ISO 9001 experience
- Heavy fabrication or rotating equipment background
- UL 508A control panel inspection experience

- $51,000-$70,000 compensation range
