Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Immediate need for a talented Shipping & Receiving Clerk . This is a 12+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Knoxville, TN (Onsite) . Key Responsibilities: Responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, and management of materials, supplies and equipment. Receives and prepares incoming materials for input into inventory. Verifies the quantity and condition of materials. Loads/unloads boxes, pallets, etc. onto truck for delivery. Prepares records of goods shipped and received, maintains accurate inventory count and resolves discrepancies via appropriate computer program. Sorts and places materials on rack or shelves according to predetermined sequence. Assists in performing physical inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels. Utilizes appropriate method of identification for labeling materials; i.e. bar codes. May prepare parcels for mailing or pallets for outbound shipping. Maintains a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and work area, which may include basic janitorial duties. Able to accommodate rushed and established Service Level Agreements (SLA). Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key skills: - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent. Zero to one year of related experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to understand basic instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Basic reading, writing, and organizational skills. Computer experience in Word and Excel preferred. Ability to work as part of a team.
