Salado Freestanding Emergency Department CT TechnologistJoin our team as a day shift, full-time Salado Freestanding Emergency Department CT Technologist in Belton, TX.Why Join Us?Thrive in a People-First Environment and Make Healthcare BetterThrive: We empower our team with career growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and resources that support your wellness, education, and financial well-being.People-First: We prioritize your well-being with paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and a supportive, inclusive culture where you are valued and cared for.Make Healthcare Better: We use advanced technology to support our team and enhance patient care.Get to Know Your Team:Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.ResponsibilitiesThe CT / Radiologic Technologist is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, performance of all computerized tomography and diagnostic x-ray examinations, and transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services.Explain imaging procedures to patients and families in a clear and professional manner, addressing questions and promoting patient understanding and comfort.Perform CT and diagnostic radiology procedures utilizing appropriate imaging protocols, technical factors, and positioning techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.Provide patient-centered imaging services by ensuring care is delivered in a professional, personalized, and high-quality manner consistent with organizational standards and guiding principles.Accurately enter, retrieve, and maintain patient information within PACS, HIS, and other applicable electronic systems to support patient care, documentation, and workflow efficiency.Perform quality control and safety checks on imaging equipment, promptly reporting equipment malfunctions, hazards, or operational concerns to management.Adhere to radiation safety standards, including the principles of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.Provide patient support services, including basic patient care, safe patient transport, and coordination with nursing or physician staff when additional assistance is required.Maintain departmental operations by ensuring accurate documentation and charging practices, ordering necessary supplies, and keeping imaging rooms and work areas clean, organized, and ready for patient care.QualificationsJob Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, or a graduate of a military Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) program as indicated on DD Form 214.Current ARRT (R) certification – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Current ARRT (CT) certification – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Current MRT license – Medical Radiologic Technologist certification issued by the State of Texas.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:Previous employment as a CT / Radiologic Technologist
