The Roxy Hotel is looking for an experienced Maître D Food & Beverage Manager to manage the PM service of the bar, lounge, room service and the front and back of the house. We are seeking a Manager with a passion for Mixology and a strong knowledge of Wine and Spirits. You’ll be working the floor a lot, which also has a rock star perk: each night, you’ll hear live jazz from some of the industry greats.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversight of daily bar operations to ensure quality of beverages and food.
• Floor presence, ensuring service standards are consistent
• Training and evaluating team members in their roles
• Conducting effective pre-shifts
• Scheduling and payroll
• Inventory and purchasing
• Building strong rapport with guests

Requirements:

• Energetic and detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Computer savvy, familiarity of Resy and Spot On is a plus
• DOH Food Handlers Certificate
• TIPs Certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of Excel and Word are required
• Able to work effectively with all department managers
• An interest in style, music, fashion, art, and/or or dining and nightlife (pertaining to NYC)
• Creative problem solver
