Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Start Date: ASAP - but the right person matters more than the start date
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

-Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other complex conditions requiring infused therapies
-Manage the nuances of factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and other novel agents, as well as a broad range of subcutaneous and IV infusions for chronic conditions
-Educate patients and their families on complex drug administration, side effect management, medication adherence, and safe handling of medications in the home
-Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and in-house care coordinators to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
-Work alongside reimbursement specialists to navigate complex insurance plans, secure prior authorizations, and identify financial assistance programs for patients
-Utilize CareTend pharmacy software for daily operations - training provided for the right candidate

Experience

-Specialty pharmacy experience strongly preferred
-Experience with hemophilia, immune deficiency, autoimmune, or infusion therapy preferred
-Factor replacement therapy and novel agent experience a plus
-CareTend experience is a significant plus, but not required - willing to train

Skills

-Strong clinical judgment in complex specialty therapy management
-Excellent patient education and communication skills
-Comfortable navigating insurance, prior authorizations, and financial assistance programs
-Collaborative and team-oriented with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators
-Driven and entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow with the organization

Qualifications

-An active Tennessee Pharmacist License is required
-Open to obtaining additional state licenses as the practice grows
-CareTend proficiency a plus

Education

-Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
