Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified Per Diem Physical Therapy Aide to join our Bridgewater, NJ team at RWJUH Somerset Sports Physical Therapy! This is a great opportunity for those looking to pursue a future career in physical therapy who demonstrate a high attention to detail, a proactive task mindset, and an empathetic approach to customer service.

Qualifications:

Required:

• HS diploma or GED (or equivalent required within one year of hire)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Basic knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and muscle movement terminology
• Physical Therapy experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS Certification / CPR Card from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• Per Diem Schedule (Expected hours range weekly based on schedule needs)
• Opportunities for picking up extra hours as available at any RWJ Somerset Sports Physical Therapy clinic locations (Flemington, Bridgewater, Princeton, Hillsborough)

Essential Functions:

• General housekeeping and infection prevention
• Maintaining treatment area and setting up equipment
• Retrieving equipment such as hot packs, cold packs, electrical equipment
• Assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages
• Assisting physical therapists with patient care such as assisting with patient transfers onto and off of treatment tables and equipment
