We are seeking a motivated, personable, and clinically skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients undergoing reconstructive and hand surgery. The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care throughout the preoperative and postoperative process.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a board-certified reconstructive surgeon in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

The role is initially part-time, with the potential to transition into a full-time position with expanded benefits and additional responsibilities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

o Provide comprehensive, high-quality patient care under the supervision of a board-certified reconstructive surgeon.

o Conduct patient evaluations, physical examinations, and comprehensive medical histories.

o Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate.

o Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with established protocols and clinical judgment.

o Prescribe medications within the scope of practice and applicable state regulations.

o Assist with and perform clinical procedures as authorized by state regulations and the supervising surgeon.

o Educate and counsel patients regarding surgical procedures, preoperative preparation, postoperative care, and recovery expectations.

o Provide ongoing postoperative assessments and monitor patient progress to support optimal outcomes.

o Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

o Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical documentation.

o Stay current with clinical best practices, continuing education, and advancements in reconstructive and hand surgery.

Qualifications & Skills

o Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills in reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, plastic surgery, or a related specialty.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients and colleagues.

o Proficiency in performing relevant physical examinations and clinical assessments.

o Sound clinical judgment, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work independently within established protocols and scope of practice.

o Strong organizational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

o Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

o Positive, professional, and compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and teamwork.

Education, Licensure & Experience

o Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) or an equivalent qualifying degree from an accredited PA program.

o Active, unrestricted California Physician Assistant license.

o Current national certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

o Experience in reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, or a related field strongly preferred.
