Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Community Therapeutix PC Locations: Norwich, Ledyard, and Salem, Connecticut Pay: $29-$35 per hour Schedule: Flexible scheduling aligned with the school calendar, with no weekends or holidays Join Our Team Community Therapeutix PC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team serving clients in Norwich, Ledyard, and Salem, CT. Community Therapeutix provides individualized and holistic care in a safe and comfortable environment. Our services include school-based therapy, clinic therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special education support. For more than 40 years, Community Therapeutix has worked with families, schools, educators, and Special Education Directors to develop services tailored to individual needs. Position Responsibilities Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop treatment plans. Assist with implementing therapeutic interventions. Provide support with activities of daily living. Participate in care planning and discharge planning. Work with a variety of populations, including pediatric clients. Apply knowledge of adaptive equipment and treatment planning. Work with individualized education programs (IEPs). Collaborate with school personnel and other members of the therapy team. Provide individualized occupational therapy support in school-based and clinic settings. Treatment Areas Community Therapeutix works with clients who may have a variety of developmental, sensory, and educational needs, including: ADD/ADHD Autism spectrum disorders Sensory processing disorders Developmental delays Visual perceptual deficits Apraxia, including motor-planning and spatial-awareness challenges Graphomotor difficulties Oral defensiveness Other individualized therapy needs Required Skills and Qualifications Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification Knowledge of adaptive equipment and treatment planning Ability to work with individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word Compensation and Benefits Compensation: $29-$35 per hour Insurance and Retirement: Health insurance, dental insurance, and 401(k) Paid Leave: Sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off Schedule: Flexible scheduling aligned with the school calendar Work-Life Balance: No weekends or holidays Work Environment: Supportive and collaborative team environment About Community Therapeutix Community Therapeutix specializes in providing thoughtfully designed wellness therapies for children and families.
