Associate Attorney

Bradley & Riley PC is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join our established transactional practice serving privately held businesses throughout Iowa and the Midwest. This position offers direct client interaction, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on a broad range of corporate and business matters. This role is well suited for an attorney looking to build long-term relationships with clients, develop as a trusted business advisor, and grow toward future leadership opportunities within the firm. What You'll Do Advise business clients on corporate governance and business operations Draft and negotiate contracts and transactional documents Support mergers and acquisitions transactions on behalf of buyers and sellers Assist with private securities offerings and related compliance matters Work directly with business owners, executives, boards, and opposing counsel Collaborate closely with attorneys across multiple practice groups Preferred Experience Business transactions Mergers and acquisitions Attorneys with strong corporate or transactional backgrounds who have less direct M&A experience are encouraged to apply. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school IA Licensed attorney in good standing or ability to obtain Iowa licensure Minimum 2 years of experience practicing corporate, transactional, business, or commercial law Exposure to corporate governance matters, business entity formation, organizational documentation, or business counseling Strong writing, drafting, and communication skills Interest in developing a long-term practice in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of corporate/transactional practice experience Experience with mergers & acquisitions, business acquisitions, ownership transfers, or due diligence Connections to Eastern Iowa or demonstrated interest in long-term relocation Why Bradley & Riley Established regional law firm with sophisticated business clients Direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility Collaborative, team-oriented culture Year-End bonus eligibility Long-term growth and shareholder-track potential Lifestyle-focused environment with a lower billable requirement than many larger firms Compensation $115k - $150k based on experience This job is part of LinkedIn’s Full-Service Hiring beta program.
