RN - Rehab

Registered NurseThe role involves providing care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The unit consists of 35 beds with patient ratios of 5-7:1. Staffing typically includes 2-4 techs based on the unit census. Required equipment includes vitals machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation is performed using a designated electronic system. Shifts are 12 hours with rotating weekends. Floating to other departments may occur. Experience in rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory. Essential procedures performed include medication administration, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter placement, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. The dress code is navy blue or white solid scrubs. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The team includes nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physicians, and neuropsychologists. The goal is to improve patient functional independence and achieve care objectives.
