Harmony Hill School (HHS) is a private, non-profit organization providing residential care, day treatment programs and education services to adolescent males. Our beautiful school campus is located in Glocester, RI, just a 20-30 minute commute from many towns in the RI, CT, MA area.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care and committed to making a difference in the lives of your patients? We're looking for a CMA/CMT to join our team of caring, dedicated medical professionals in providing comprehensive health and care services to youth residents.

This is a 32 hour/week position working 8am-4pm on Thursdays and 8am-8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Harmony Hill School offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits & generous time off plans.

Job Responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling medical appointments. confirming insurance authorization, and transporting students to/from their appointments.
• Providing first aid treatment and student health education.
• Administering medication and prescribed treatments;
• Obtaining and documenting monthly vital signs;
• Updating student records with information regarding medical care, treatment plans, and observations.
• Participating in administrative support tasks to include: supply management and ordering, compiling data for reports, preparing correspondence, etc.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills for effective patient treatment, education and collaboration across departments.
• Strong interpersonal communication, conflict management and de-escalation skills.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and residential treatment best practices.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of youth, families, and professionals. Possess a knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma along with completion of post-secondary medical training certificate program (CNA,CMA,CMT or similar) is required.
• Active RI CMT or CMA certification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of medical office or facility experience, preferably with experience working in a behavioral health setting.
• Must successfully complete required driving record, criminal, and child abuse/neglect pre-employment screenings and maintain favorable results during employment.
