Control & Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Control & Automation Engineer with experience developing PLC and industrial control applications, preferably within the power and energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control software using IEC 61131-3 , particularly Structured Text (ST) .
• Develop control logic including state machines, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and equipment coordination.
• Integrate industrial controllers with field devices and supervisory systems.
• Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850 .
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

• Substation or utility automation
• Power system protection and control
• Microgrids
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Renewable energy integration
• SCADA / EMS
• Power-system controls research or laboratory work

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SEL RTAC controllers.
• Experience with SEL-3555 or similar SEL platforms.
• Experience with SEL development and configuration tools.
• Experience developing PLC or industrial controller applications using IEC 61131-3 languages.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience , or
• Master’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience , or
• PhD in a related field.

Candidates with relevant academic or research experience in power and energy systems are encouraged to apply, even if they have limited industry experience.
