Part-Time Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant Role Overview: Provides support in various dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, and periodontal treatments. Responsible for patient scheduling, medical history documentation, sterilization, and maintaining dental equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during complex dental procedures. Obtain and record patient medical histories and examination data. Prepare surgical trays and sterilize instruments. Assist with intra-oral procedures, including taking impressions, placing/removing rubber dams, and sutures. Operate dental X-Ray equipment, maintain and repair as needed. Instruct patients on post-treatment care and proper dental hygiene techniques. Construct models and maintain dental records and reports. Qualifications & Skills Certificate or degree as a Dental Assistant/Technician from an accredited program. Certification in Radiography. Minimum of six months post-graduation experience as a dental assistant. Knowledge of radiation safety, X-ray techniques, and digital radiography.
