Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of adult critical care and emergency department experience.

Job Details

• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30,
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Adult critical care and emergency department work settings,
• Utilizes specialized equipment including Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, Optiflow, Lumis tx, Cough Assist, Vest, and IPV,
• Epic charting system experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Current RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Adult critical care and emergency department experience required,
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred,
• State license required if applicable,
• Valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Dark grey scrubs required,
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a different rate,
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved at time of consideration; changes after submission will not be accepted,
• Responsibilities include ventilator management, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms,
• Skilled in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care,
• Performs arterial blood gas draws and interpretation,
• Provides chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene care,
• Administers a range of aerosolized and nebulized medications,
• Cares for patients with conditions such as ARDS, pneumonia, and COVID-19,
• PA fingerprinting required for compliance and may require travel,
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing
