The Sales Associate at H&H Shooting Sports is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving firearm and outdoor retail sales, and processing transactions accurately while maintaining an organized, safe sales floor and gunroom. Interested candidates must apply online at
This is a COMMISSION based position, base pay starts at $8/hr with a 2% commission.
Essential Duties
- Customer Engagement: Greet guests, assess outdoor and firearm needs, and provide expert product selection guidance.
- Sales & Promotion: Utilize active selling techniques to meet goals and confidently overcome guest objections.
- POS Transactions: Efficiently and accurately process sales, returns, and financing options through the point-of-sale system.
- Compliance & Paperwork: Complete critical regulatory and internal paperwork with extreme accuracy and attention to detail.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, secure, and visually appealing sales floor and gunroom.
- Product Knowledge: Stay continually updated on firearms, optics, gear, and range services to effectively answer inquiries.
- Operational Support: Respond to phone calls and emails professionally while assisting with merchandising display arrangements.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant retail, customer service, or firearms industry experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, basic math, and computer literacy (POS systems, database research, email).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Environment: Comfort working in a unique retail environment with moderate-to-high noise levels and exposure to varying temperatures, chemicals, or airborne particles.
