Public Information Officer The Township of Millburn seeks a full-time Public Information Officer (PIO). Under the direction of the Business Administrator, the PIO is responsible for press releases, emergency communications, and public events coordination; communicating with and establishing good working relationships with the media and the public; monitoring and maintaining all social media platforms; maintaining and improving the Township's website; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include extensive social media skills, website expertise, PowerPoint presentation experience, and excellent computer use and writing skills. A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, filmmaking, digital media, public relations, or related field is preferred. Graphic design, Canva, and Adobe InDesign experience is a plus. Video editing or videography experiences or education is desired. Prior experience in public relations or a similar position within local government is a plus. Must possess a valid NJ driver's license. Work schedule is full-time, 35 hours per week. Additional, as-needed work hours outside of normal business hours will be necessary to perform the duties. Compensation includes benefits, paid time off, and a salary range of $63,980 - $97,452, commensurate with experience.
