Job Responsibilities Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well‑being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship‑based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements Education Requirements Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs Experience Requirements One year experience preferred Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty Licenses/Certification Requirements RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact Physical Requirements Medium Work – Exert up to 50lbs occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly Where You'll Work The Emergency Department at Holy Cross Hospital – Mountain Point has a welcoming culture that focuses on teamwork and synergy. We are a level III trauma facility with 14 beds, and a current 4:1 nurse to patient ratio. We see a diverse mix of all ages that allows us to utilize our holistic nursing skills through all the care we give. We serve a diverse community of 9 municipalities and 10 EMS agencies. We see an average of 41 patients per day with a pediatric population of 24%. EMS accounts for 13% of our overall visits. The success of this department relies on the partnership and communication with every other department in this hospital.
