• Shift: 24-hour call coverage (1 weekend), 8-hour inpatient rounds/surgery on other days
• Hours/week: Varies based on schedule
• Employment Type: Contract
• License/Certs: Active medical license in Louisiana preferred; privileges required
• Experience: At least 2 years of CV surgery experience; recent case logs (last 24 months)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide inpatient care and perform cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, and aortic valve replacements
• Conduct inpatient rounding and surgical consults
• Respond to emergency room call coverage
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage (including weekends)
• Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 advanced practice providers (APPs)
• Manage approximately 90 procedures monthly

What You Need:

• Valid medical license in Louisiana or eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular surgical experience
• Ability to provide case logs from the past 24 months
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Clean background for temporary privileges
