Compensation: $145K-$170K base salary

Location: San Diego (hybrid - 3 days onsite)


Overview
This Senior Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role within a corporate accounting organization, overseeing core liability accounting, month?end close activities, and internal controls. The role partners closely with cross?functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous improvement of accounting operations in a fast?paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month?end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee liability?related accounting areas including accruals, vendor?related items, and debt
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, GAAP, and internal control standards
• Partner cross?functionally with Finance and Operations to support accurate accruals and risk management
• Manage, develop, and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability
• Support oversight of accounting risks and emerging technical accounting considerations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and internal controls
• Experience leading teams and managing complex close processes
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, multi?stakeholder environments

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA preferred; MBA a plus
• Public company and/or technology environment experience
• Background in public accounting or audit
• Experience with ERP systems and close automation tools
