It is more than a job; it is an opportunity to embrace the beauty of Mammoth Lakes, California.Benefits and perks of your adventure here:* Ski passes for dependents (spouse/child(ren)/domestic partners) includes free skiing at other Alterra Resorts* Free skiing at all Alterra Resorts* Ski/snowboarding lessons discounts* Equipment Rental discount* Friends and Family vouchers* Retail & Food discount* 401k with company match*\*Offers of employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check***A little about this position:*** Acts as lead teacher and trainer in both the preschool and infant classrooms as an on needed basis* Under direction, assists in the coordination of the daily operations of the Child Development Center* Enforces regulations under the Child Care Program guidelines* Implements and maintains an appropriate and safe learning environment for the children* Performs related work as required.**Requirements:*** Education: Minimum of 12 units in Early Child Development/Child Development including core courses and 3 administrative units. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development is preferred. Experience: 350 days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years teaching young children (equivalent to 1.5 years part-time), including at least 100 days of supervising adults (equivalent to 5 months). Teaching young children in a group setting preferred.* Knowledge of: Early childhood development and appropriate practices; appropriate health and safety codes; reporting procedures for suspected child abuse; skills in establishing and maintaining effective communications with adults and children; standard office productivity applications (Word, excel, brightwheel, etc.).* Ability to: meet State regulations; enforce and apply all laws according to Title 22 guidelines, rules and regulations; read, understand and interpret standard official legal documents; exercise judgment and discretion in analyzing and resolving problems; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.Hourly pay rate: $26.94 to $29.76To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
