Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student communication in the vibrant greater Fort Bragg region. This full-time Speech Language Pathologist position requires dedication from August 13, 2025, through May 27, 2027, for the academic school year. You'll be serving a diverse caseload, including elementary, middle, and high school students, with a commitment to onsite work only.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP license (or ability to obtain by June/July for out-of-state applicants)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience in school-based SLP settings preferred
- Skilled in assessment, diagnosis, and development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students across varied grade levels
- Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Willingness to work onsite every school day
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high school
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide progress updates
- Consult with teachers and families to support classroom strategies and generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulations and reporting requirements
This contract offers a steady weekday schedule, from Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Open to travel professionals ready to relocate or commute to the area for the academic year.
