Cardiac Catheterization Technologist | Newfield, New York

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled imaging professional experienced in Cath Lab, X-ray, and Interventional Radiology procedures. This contract position requires a detail-oriented technologist adept at supporting a collaborative, patient-centric care team.


Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent
• Proven expertise in Cath Lab Tech procedures, including knowledge of cardiovascular imaging and interventional techniques
• Familiarity with X-ray operation and safety requirements
• Experience as an IR Tech, especially in vascular and non-vascular interventions, preferred
• Valid state license (as required)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate imaging equipment for a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab and radiology department
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain each step to ensure comfort and compliance
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and detailed patient records
• Adhere to all hospital protocols for radiation safety and infection control
• Support a safe, sterile environment and maintain equipment to ensure operational readiness
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous performance improvement initiatives
