Agentic AI Software Engineer (Offensive Security)

We’re partnered with an established, well‑funded security innovator that’s building a next‑generation AI‑driven offensive security platform. The team operates like a startup within a larger organization — fast‑moving, experimental, and scaling prototypes that already have enterprise adoption momentum.

This is a rare opportunity to join early, take true ownership of agentic AI systems in production, and shape how security teams leverage autonomous workflows for real‑world impact.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and ship production‑grade AI agents — from reasoning and planning to tool invocation and multi‑step orchestration.
• Transform R&D prototypes into reliable services: instrumentation, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration.
• Integrate agents with real tools, APIs, and live security data sources.
• Collaborate with security engineers and product teams to identify and automate the most valuable workflows.
• Own architecture decisions end‑to‑end, taking ideas from concept → demo → production deployment.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands‑on experience building agentic AI systems beyond demos — planning, memory, tool use, and error recovery.
• Proficiency with at least one orchestration framework (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with offensive security or red‑team concepts is a plus, but not required.

Location

San Francisco preferred (remote flexibility available).

Compensation

$275k – $350k+ base salary , plus meaningful equity and benefits.

Principal IC scope with high autonomy and visibility.
