Description: Perm candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract after being separated for at least 3 months. Mid-June start required to cover a leave of absence. This position is for an Ambulatory Infusion Center RN. Candidates with 2 years of experience are accepted, including first-timers. Schedule consists of 4x10 days with no weekends and no holidays. Patient diagnoses include oncology, MS, GI, neuro, transplant, and obstetric cases. Required skills include accessing and managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, antibiotics, and infusion pump management. Candidates should also be adept in intravenous hydration, multivitamins, and isolation precautions. Daily census includes approximately 25 patients with 25 visits per day. The unit has 13 beds and provides care for adults and geriatrics. Training is available for those lacking experience with specific drug administration. References covering one year within the last three years are necessary during the compliance process prior to start. Modules are required and completed pre-start and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported and recorded in transcripts.
