Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

This contract position offers a dynamic on-site working environment where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality emergency medical care to our patients.

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be integral to our healthcare services, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment of patients in critical conditions. You will work closely with a skilled team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced medical practice setting.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical services to patients
• Conduct thorough medical assessments and treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to medical emergencies and conduct life-saving procedures
• Supervise and guide junior medical staff and others in the clinical setting
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with medical protocols
• Attend and participate in continuing medical education and training
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards within the facility

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
• Experience in emergency medicine, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred

Schedule: 8p-8a, specific dates

Patient Volume: ~1,200 per month, ~2 per hour

Fast track 4 days per week, moving to 6 days per week

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
