This schedule offers a great work-life balance with ample time for rest and personal activities.Additional Potential Benefits:Annual tool allowance to up to $800Eligible for sign-on bonus of $5KEligible for relocation assistancePosition PurposeThe Mine Maintenance Mechanic – Mobile Equipment is responsible for safely maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large mobile mining equipment to ensure reliable operation and support production targets. This role applies mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical fundamentals while adhering to safety standards and maintenance best practices.Position ResponsibilitiesMobile Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty mobile mining equipment including haul trucks, dozers, hydraulic shovels, motor graders, front-end loaders, and articulated trucks.Mechanical & Systems Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems using OEM manuals, schematics, and standard procedures.Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, contamination control, lubrication, and basic air conditioning service.Equipment Operation: Safely operate and move mine equipment to support inspections, servicing, testing, and repairs.Shop & Field Work: Perform maintenance tasks in shop and field environments, including the use of small mobile equipment, aerial lifts, and forklifts.Safety Compliance: Perform all work in compliance with MSHA regulations, site procedures, confined space, fall protection, and equipment isolation standards.Documentation & Systems: Utilize maintenance systems and documentation, including OEM repair manuals and SAP where applicable.Mentorship & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the development of less experienced maintenance mechanics.Troubleshooting & Reliability: Identify equipment issues proactively and contribute to improved equipment reliability and uptime.Additional Duties: Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.Position RequirementsRequiredMinimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty mobile mining equipmentMinimum of 3 years of experience using Cat ET or similar diagnostic softwareUnderstanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical fundamentalsExperience working with OEM maintenance repair manuals and schematicsAbility to safely operate and move mine equipment for servicing and testingKnowledge of confined space, fall protection, and equipment isolation proceduresAbility to speak, read, comprehend, and write EnglishPreferredKnowledge of condition monitoring, contamination control, lubrication, and basic air conditioning systemsExperience operating small mobile equipment, aerial lifts, and forkliftsSAP maintenance system experienceDemonstrated ability to mentor and train junior mechanicsWork Environment / Physical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, including stairs and uneven surfacesAbility to climb ladders and work safely at heightsAbility to lift and carry up to 75 poundsAbility to work in hot, cold, and high-humidity environmentsAbility to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, including occasional work in confined spacesAll candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check.
