Mechanic Shop Assistant
We are a commercial concrete/concrete manufacturer seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanic Shop Assistant to support our shop manager in maintaining and repairing small engines and light equipment, including bobcats and lulls. This role is ideal for someone with basic mechanical experience who is comfortable working with hand and power tools and performing general shop duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist shop manager with repairs and maintenance on small engines, bobcats, lulls, and related equipment
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as oil changes, part replacements, lubrication, and inspections
- Use hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively
- Clean, organize, and maintain the shop and work areas
- Load, unload, and move equipment and parts as needed
- Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Some mechanical experience required (small engines or equipment preferred)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a shop environment
- Valid driver's license preferred
- 6:00am to 2:30pm shift
