Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Adelphi is seeking an experienced Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide onsite diagnostic ultrasound services at a facility in Cameron County, Texas. The ideal candidate will be an experienced sonographer with the technical skill, professionalism, and clinical judgment needed to perform accurate diagnostic ultrasound services in an outpatient setting. Job Quick Facts Specialty: Diagnostic Medical Sonography Service Setting: Outpatient Clinical / Radiology Setting Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Shift Details: 4-hour clinic sessions scheduled based on clinic need Monthly Schedule: Up to 7 clinics per month, not to exceed 10 clinics per month Patient Volume: Approximately 8–10 exams per clinic Start Date: TBD, pending credentialing and clearance Requirements Active registration in good standing with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Must hold all required credentials: RDMS, RDCS, and RVT. Minimum of 2 years of relevant sonography experience. Experience performing vascular Doppler studies, general ultrasound exams, and 2D echocardiograms. Must have experience operating GE Logiq P6 and GE Vivid T8 sonography equipment. Must have and maintain current American Heart Association CPR certification. Must complete required credentialing, background check, and clearance before assignment start. Must complete any required training before providing services. Must maintain all required certifications and registrations throughout the assignment. Must provide required compliance and professional liability documentation, as applicable. Must comply with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Must follow infection control, universal precautions, and equipment cleaning/disinfection standards. Must follow applicable clinical and regulatory standards. Must comply with facility and assignment-specific policies and procedures. Must be able to work onsite in Cameron County, Texas, as scheduled. Must be at least 18 years of age. Responsibilities Perform onsite diagnostic medical sonography services as scheduled and ordered. Perform AAA, carotid Doppler, renal Doppler, and liver Doppler exams. Perform other vascular Doppler ultrasound studies as assigned. Perform upper and lower extremity arterial and venous Doppler studies. Perform aorta/IVC/iliac duplex studies and other related vascular ultrasound exams. Perform abdominal, bladder, renal, pelvic, scrotal, and breast ultrasound exams. Perform thyroid/parathyroid/parotid and extremity soft tissue ultrasound exams. Perform transvaginal non-OB exams and other related general ultrasound studies. Review exams for technical accuracy and report relevant findings for physician interpretation. Operate sonography equipment safely, accurately, and in accordance with clinical standards. Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and proper care throughout each procedure. Follow infection control and equipment disinfection protocols. Report equipment, supply, procedure, or service concerns to the supervisor/designee. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Complete required documentation accurately and within required timelines. Complete any required training before providing services. Maintain professional conduct and follow onsite requirements.
