Experienced AM & PM Cooks
SAGE Dining Services is seeking experienced cooks with a passion for cooking to join our team at a 6-12 private school in beautiful Bell Buckle, Tennessee. SAGE offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, continuous training, and room to grow your food service career! All our team members at this school interact with a smile with the students, faculty, and staff to provide exceptional dining experiences that inspire minds and foster community. This Cook will work the afternoon/evening shift. Cooking experience is a plus, but training is available.
Schedule:
- This is a seven-day operation, so shifts will include at least one weekend day. The schedule will be discussed during the interview.
- 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. shifts.
- Summers and school holidays off.
- Additional hours on weekends for catering events with advanced notice.

Produce assigned hot and cold foods in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide meals that consistently exceed our guests' expectations.
Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile.
Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes.
Clean all work areas, equipment, and customer service areas on an ongoing basis.
Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always. (HACCP).
Adhere to SAGE's safety and allergy prevention policies.
Assist in training new Cooks and culinary Team Members.
Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.
Experience with cooking strongly preferred.
Ability to set up a serving/action station.
Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
Experience in customer service strongly preferred.
Ability to interact with community and team in a cheerful and friendly manner.
ServSafe certification preferred, but not required.
