CNC Set-up Operator

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC machining centers, primarily 5-Axis Mori Seiki and Mori Seiki Horizontal machines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operate 5-axis Mori Seiki machining centers. Set up and operate Mori Seiki horizontal machining centers. Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets as well as install fixtures, tooling and probes. Conduct first article inspections and in-process inspections. Perform tool touch-offs and offsets. Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed. Work closely with programmers and production team to improve cycle time. Follow all safety and quality procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3+ year experience in CNC setup experience with Mori Seiki machines (5-axis preferred) & Horizontal machining experience required. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required Working knowledge of GD&T Methodology and experience tight tolerance parts and experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.). CNC lath setup experience is a plus Familiarity with Fanuc or Mori control systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
