Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery in a high-risk obstetrics setting. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient care and positive birth outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer high-risk obstetric nursing interventions including magnesium and insulin drips.
  
  
• 
  Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
  
  
• 
  Assist with procedures such as circulating, scrubbing, and managing OB emergencies.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems such as Meditech and CPN.
  
  
• 
  Respond effectively to on-call and emergency situations, providing support as needed.
  
  
• 
  Promote a collaborative team environment while ensuring adherence to unit policies and safety guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold at least 1 year of travel or acute care experience in high-risk OB/L&D settings.
  
  
• 
  Possess current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate intermediate fetal monitoring skills and experience with high-volume OB cases.
  
  
• 
  Be a team-oriented, adaptable professional with excellent communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Have valid nursing licensure and relevant obstetric certifications.
