This unique opportunity, based near Lakewood, WA, begins on August 26th and offers a flexible part-time schedule, ranging between .5 and .7 FTE, to fit your availability and lifestyle.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of hearing screening protocols and audiological assessment tools
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Conduct regular hearing screenings and comprehensive auditory assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized hearing intervention plans as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding student hearing needs and accommodations
- Fit, maintain, and troubleshoot amplification devices, including hearing aids and FM/DM systems
- Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Provide ongoing training and support to school staff about hearing loss, equipment use, and classroom modifications
- Stay informed about the latest developments in audiology, particularly as they pertain to school-age populations
