Travel Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) – Nights Location: Bastrop, LA Shift: 36/48 Hours, Nights (7 On / 7 Off) Discipline: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bastrop, Louisiana. This is a 7-on/7-off night shift opportunity, ideal for laboratory professionals who thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment and are comfortable working across multiple laboratory departments. Schedule Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Schedule: Wednesday night through the following Wednesday morning 36/48-hour rotating schedule (7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 days off) Responsibilities Perform testing in all major laboratory departments, including: Hematology Serology Urinalysis Coagulation Blood Bank Collect patient specimens, including occasional outpatient phlebotomy Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and instrumentation Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of test results Follow all laboratory quality assurance and safety protocols Requirements ASCP or AMT Certification required Current Louisiana Medical Technologist License (LSBME) required Current AHA BLS Certification required All certifications and licensure must be submitted with the application Must be comfortable working independently across all laboratory disciplines Laboratory Equipment Experience with the following instrumentation is preferred: Medhost LIS Sysmex XN-550 (Hematology) Sysmex CA-600 (Coagulation) Cepheid GeneXpert (Molecular) Grifols Blood Bank System Additional Information No scrub color restrictions Parking available If you're a versatile MT/MLS looking for an exciting travel opportunity with a balanced 7-on/7-off night schedule, we'd love to hear from you.
