Marketing Internship

2027 Internship Role Overview

The Marketing Intern will support the AGRILAND FS Marketing Department by helping capture, create, and organize content that tells the story of our people, brands, customers, and communities.

This role is ideal for a student who has an eye for photography, enjoys social media, and is interested in creating content through graphics, photos, video, interviews, and real workplace storytelling. The intern will work alongside the marketing team on assigned projects while learning how communication, branding, and content support the AGRILAND Way.

What This Internship Will Involve

The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in several areas of marketing and communication, including:

• Capturing photo and video content at AGRILAND FS locations, events, and field activities
• Helping create social media content from graphics, photos, videos, interviews, and employee/customer stories
• Assisting with social media communication projects assigned by the marketing team
• Supporting content planning for AGRILAND FS brands, departments, and internal initiatives
• Conducting basic interviews with employees, interns, customers, or subject-matter experts
• Writing short captions, story summaries, and content descriptions
• Organizing photo/video assets for future use
• Assisting with internal communication needs, recruiting content, and employee engagement projects
• Learning AGRILAND FS brand standards and how they apply across different divisions
• Learning basic AgVance software to assist with customer service or communication-related projects as needed
• Completing an assigned summer marketing project and presenting it to leadership staff

Essential Responsibilities

• Learn and understand communication strategies connected to the AGRILAND Way
• Assist the marketing team with assigned social media and communication projects
• Capture photos, videos, and interviews that help tell AGRILAND FS stories
• Create basic social media content using approved brand standards
• Support graphic, photo, video, and written content needs as assigned
• Demonstrate initiative and autonomy when completing assigned marketing projects
• Communicate project updates clearly and meet assigned deadlines
• Learn basic AgVance software to support customer service-related projects
• Present a completed internship project to leadership at the end of the internship

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Interest or experience in photography, videography, social media, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or graphic design
• Working knowledge of social media platforms
• Ability to create content using photos, graphics, video, and short-form writing
• Basic internet research skills
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to learn new software and marketing tools
• Comfortable asking questions and seeking out information
• Strong communication skills
• Professional attitude and productive office mindset
• Ability to complete assignments on time
• Self-starter with a goal-driven attitude
• Interest in agriculture, rural communities, cooperative business, or local storytelling preferred

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a third- or fourth-year college student, preferably with one summer remaining before graduation, who is interested in marketing, social media, photography, communications, or agriculture-related storytelling.

This person should be curious, dependable, creative, and comfortable working with different people across the organization. They do not need to know every AGRILAND FS brand on day one, but they should be willing to learn, ask good questions, and help the marketing team capture real stories from across the company.
