Transport Refrigeration Technician

Reefer Technician / Transport Refrigeration TechnicianWe are looking for a dedicated, hardworking technician with experience in the transport refrigeration equipment repair field. Technician needs to be team-oriented, committed to quality work and a quick learner.Responsibilities:Performing preventative maintenance procedures and repairs on Thermo King, Carrier and other refrigeration equipment for trucks, trailers and containers with little or no supervisionDiagnose and repair/replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc…Use diagnostic equipment to flash controller, diagnose alarms, implement repairs, etc…Use repair orders to record all work performed and submit on a daily basisMaintain work area in a clean and organized mannerFollow established procedures to track work and complete forms connected with work assignmentsEnsure timely completion of work according to company regulations and procedures, and instruction from Lead, Supervisor, or ManagerRequirements:At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipmentExperience operating an over the road service truck and capable of running one after 3-6 months of employmentMaintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the employer's insurance policyEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safetyFamiliar with Thermo King, Carrier, and other transport refrigeration equipmentHave good verbal and written communications skillsExcellent customer service skillsCertified to use refrigerants, R134a, R404, R410, and others as neededMay be required to use a laptop computer to diagnose and/or reference repair manualsMay work in a shop, at our yard or out of a mobile service vehicleMust be willing to be in an emergency after-hours on-call rotationWillingness to perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by managementBenefits:Competitive hourly rate; DOEOpportunity for growth and developmentM-F schedule (some OT); paid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)Group Health, Dental, Vision401k Retirement Planning w/ company matchPeak Industrial Company is made up of four different businesses that span across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Texas.
