Partnering with customer engineering teams and Neo4j Principal/Senior Consulting Engineers, you will design graph data models, and help deliver successful Neo4j implementations from initial design through to production deployment. You will act as a trusted technical advisor during consulting engagements, working hands-on with Neo4j technology while helping customers adopt best practices for graph data modeling, application development, and modern AI-powered data architectures. You will also help customers solve complex data and analytics challenges by applying graph technology to deliver practical, production-ready solutions.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with customer engineering teams to lead and contribute to Neo4j implementations across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to production roll-outAct as the technical subject matter expert on consulting engagements, providing hands-on guidance and technical leadership for succeeding with Neo4j technologyDesign and implement graph data models that represent complex relationships and support high-performance querying and analyticsArchitect and build solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements using Neo4jSupport modern data and AI architectures by structuring graph data to enable advanced analytics, search, and emerging AI patterns such as RAGCollaborate with customer AI and data teams to integrate Neo4j into modern orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndexProvide guidance to customers on best practices for Data Engineering, focusing on optimizing data ingestion patterns into Neo4j.Develop solution architectures that address the technical requirements of customer projectsTranslate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for customer engineers and stakeholdersContribute to solution proposals, level of effort assessments, SOWs and technical recommendations for customer engineering and leadership teamsTrain and mentor customer teams on Neo4j best practices and graph development techniquesWork collaboratively with Neo4j sales, sales engineering and support teams to ensure successful customer outcomesTravel may be required depending on customer engagement needsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).3+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-class applications, with a focus on data-driven or analytics-focused systemsStrong experience in data modelling and designing data structures for complex applications, with familiarity across relational, NoSQL, or graph databasesExperience designing scalable software architectures and working within modern application development environmentsPractical experience data engineering and structuring and optimizing data for modern search, analytics, or AI-driven applicationsCompetence and hands-on experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or C#Experience deploying applications on modern platforms such as Linux, Docker, or KubernetesFamiliarity with source control and development workflows using tools such as GitStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts in customer settingsConfidence presenting technical solutions and building strong customer relationshipsAbility to work independently in a remote, cross-functional organizationCuriosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and development approachesWillingness to travel to client sites as needed.Bonus Points:2+ years working in a consultative capacity in a Professional Services organisationIndustry experience in Financial Services, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, TechnologyExperience working with graph databases such as Neo4j, TigerGraph, JanusGraph, or similar technologiesFamiliarity with Snowflake or Databricks, and NoSQL/Relational providers such as MongoDB, Couchbase, or Teradata.Experience in data science related projects and packages e.g. SciLearn, Keras, TensorFlow etcExperience working with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformWhy Join Neo4j?Neo4j is, without question, the most popular graph intelligence platform in the world.
