Custodian - Part-time

Custodian 2 (part-time)Serves on custodial crew to maintain the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the University and grounds. Will work in various facilities with a variety of functions as required.Job duties include:Performs housekeeping tasks, manual labor, and other activities necessary for the efficient operation of the campus.Empties trash and recycling containers, transports waste material to outdoor refuse or recycling containers as appropriate.Performs floor maintenance and other special cleaning tasks.Moves/rearranges office furniture, fixtures, and lab equipment as well as sets up tables, chairs, partitions, sign stanchions and other related equipment used for special events.Washes building exteriors, windows, walls, fixtures, steps and sidewalks using power washers, pressure sprayers, commercial window washing equipment, cleaning solutions, ladders, scaffolds, hydraulic man-lifts, or other related equipment or materials.Unlocks/locks campus buildings, labs, offices, or rooms utilizing assigned building, room, or master keys.May perform a variety of other tasks including but not limited to: maintain and clean equipment used in performance of assigned duties, wear safety equipment or clothing as instructed by supervisor - such as gloves, goggles, dust masks, etc., report maintenance or safety hazards to supervisor, and report the need for equipment and supplies for the area to your supervisor.Minimum qualifications include six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.This position is considered emergency essential and may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
